« Hello Berenice, my name is Mitsuru Kaneko, I am the planner, creator and producer of the Series. Sorry to hear that the sequel does not carry the atmosphere I created with Majima, Yoshikawa and Pierrot creative staff. I am very much surprised and honored that the first series accepted very well in France. Ever since more than 30 years have passed. NHK who was the broadcaster in Japan for the first series treated the series as if it was their own production. NHK asked me to allow joint production with the French TV and sold world widely with a package of documentaries and drama series they wanted to sell. NHK did not report anything about the sailed to me.
I realized that the producer of French version had hard times with illegal broadcasting in Europe. A german company claimed it was their product, the lawsuit seems still going on. Meanwhile plan of sequel production arose in France and I sent my plan of the sequel to Japan and lost continent of Mu. It carried the same atmosphere as the original series, adventure, youngs were looking for their identity and the adults were looking for the gold. Unfortunately, my direction seemed to be turned down by the TV stations and the production. Then, the sequel started from China instead of the youngs flew to a lost city in Yonakuni Island... Anyway, I have no control on the sequel production, nobody at Blue Spirit asked me about the first series. They probably want to create a new project taking advantage of using the popularity of the first series. I hope my friend and the first series' producer Jean Chalopin could talk to the current production people and persuade them to change, but,
It will be difficult... »"
